Actually, the best aerobic exercise for you depends on your level of fitness. If you are just getting started, cycling or low-impact walking would be best until your body becomes more adapted to exercise. As your fitness increases, exercises that burn the most calories and fat might be the best such as running, stair climbing, and swimming.
But, in reality, the best exercise is the one that you enjoy and keeps you motivated. Preferably, something that is so much fun that you don’t even consider it exercise. That’s how mountain biking is for me. I know I’m working (hard!), but I’m out in the woods on my bike, so all is good. After all, if it’s not fun, it’s just work!
